"As far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. Growing up my family only had one dog (a golden retriever named Sandy) and one cat (an orange tabby named Tiger). Of course with time this grew to include a few more cats, some guinea pigs, a rabbit, three horses (which we still have today!), and even an iguana and a tarantula (no those were not mine!) Looking back on all of the animals that have impacted my life, I realize that they have each helped me find this calling at a young age. When I turned sixteen I began working for our family veterinarian at North Fork Animal Hospital and the rest is history. So if you have asked me how long I have been practicing veterinary medicine, now you see why I may say "it seems like forever," but I wouldn't have it any other way!"
