Our relationship with Willowrun Veterinary Hospital began in 1974.  At that time we had moved to Smithfield with our only child “Jude”, a basset hound who had an allergy to dew.  A year later we purchased a black lab that we named “Tar” after the Tar River that Clint had grown up playing in and hunting around.  After Clint attended his first field trial, he was hooked and was thoroughly convinced that “Tar” was gifted enough to not only compete but win a field trial.  Clint was correct about “Tar’s” abilities because he became our first champion.  We have been fortunate enough to have had a total of seven field champions.
Our dogs have been our children for the 42 years of our marriage.  Our love for them has been returned many times over by our dogs.

We have shared sad times and happy times with the people at Willowrun and have always felt that they shared our heartbreak or our joy with us.  We are so grateful that such a modern clinic as Willowrun with such a knowledgeable staff exists here in Smithfield.  We are confident that our kids will continue to receive the same competent care that they have always received at Willowrun.
